What is invoicing software?
Invoicing software, also called billing software, is a tool for creating, sending and tracking invoices for the goods or services you sell. Good invoicing software also records payments, calculates sales tax and updates your stock and accounts automatically. In Pakistan, it should also send sales-tax invoices to FBR digitally.

FBR Digital Invoicing
FBR digital invoicing, built into every sale
Under FBR’s S.R.O. 709 of 22 April 2025, electronic invoicing is mandatory for corporate and non-corporate sales-tax-registered persons. Each invoice is reported to FBR, which returns an invoice reference number (IRN), and the printed invoice carries a QR code the buyer can scan to verify it.
With AIM you don’t need a second tool. Connect your FBR IRIS account once, and AIM submits your sales invoices to FBR from the same screen you create them on, with the IRN and QR code printed on the invoice.

How to create an invoice in AIM
It takes about a minute, and the same steps work on a phone, tablet or PC.
- Open Sales and start a new invoice, or convert an accepted quotation or sales order.
- Choose the customer, or add a new one.
- Add products. Prices and tax rates fill in from your item list.
- Apply any discount and check the total.
- Post the invoice. Stock and the customer’s balance update, and an FBR-enabled company submits it to FBR.
- Share it on WhatsApp or email, or download the PDF to print.

Is AIM invoicing software free?

Is FBR digital invoicing mandatory?

What do I need to connect AIM to FBR?

Can I send invoices on WhatsApp?

What is the difference between invoicing software and POS software?
Invoicing (billing) software creates and tracks invoices for any kind of sale, including credit sales to other businesses. POS software is built for fast counter checkout with a cash drawer and barcode scanner. AIM Sales handles both invoiced sales and quick counter bills for walk-in customers; for high-volume checkout, a dedicated POS system is the better fit.
Does AIM update stock when I make a sale?
Yes. Posting an invoice deducts the sold items from stock in AIM Inventory, and a sales return adds them back, updating balances and your books in the same step.
Can I move my data from Excel into AIM?
